Linley Grove Estate. So well designed, one of our people chose to live there!

Linley Grove Estate is a residential community conveniently located midway between Kilsyth and Montrose town centres. It’s close to schools, kindergartens, reserves and sport facilities; and it boasts spacious lots in a private cul-de-sac.

The site has a northerly aspect with elevated views across the valley, included a community garden. The new community soon to move in are predominantly young couples, with (or most likely planning!) young families.

This project represents a significant milestone for Millar Merrigan. Eleven years ago, we teamed up with with the developer and, in a novel start to the project, Scott learned he’d be working with a client representative who was living overseas. You could say he got used to managing a relationship at a distance well before the days of Zoom calls and social isolation!

Despite having decades of experience working across a broad range of planning and design services, this was the first time we had been appointed to the development manager role. We did not waste that opportunity.

Over the decade of development, the project was led by Millar Merrigan’s Scott McJannet, a chartered engineer and project manager who had gone on to lead our major development projects. Scott and his team handled all the urban design elements, marketing and selling agents. Civil construction was expertly delivered by Montdami Constructions.

“At the foundation of this project was our strong and trusting relationship with LJ Hooker. They trusted us to deliver in a role we were confident we could succeed.

For Simon Merrigan, the project chalks up another strong competency and memorable experience for the company.

“We came to the project with a strong relationship with other contractors, project partners and authorities and that legacy of trusted work enabled us to take some innovative approaches others might not have,” he said.

Overall, forty-two Millar Merrigan employees worked on Linley Grove. They contributed to the urban design and market positioning of what is a premium product, with attention to detail you can see and feel.

Perhaps the greatest marker of success for the project, one of the Millar Merrigan team members has chosen to move in. That’s how confident he is that Linley Grove is the ideal place to bring up a family and get the most out of life. His will be joined by twenty-six other families, building a sense of community together.

And that’s how we inspire better living.
