The key focus of this project was to protect significant canopy trees and respect the established character of the surrounding neighbourhood. This was achieved with a thorough site analysis and attention to detail with respect to the development layout, the architecture and tree impacts. Particular emphasis was placed on the review of levels, to ensure that tree protection zones were maintained, and the built form derived from our team of designers balancing the desire to maximise development whilst maintaining neighbourhood character.

An extensive consultation process was undertaken with Maroondah City Council and a series of neighbouring submitters, with the final decision being issued by the Tribunal.
