Project overview
In 2013, Millar Merrigan were approached by Team Nick for assistance in obtaining planning approval for a cancer retreat and hobby farm in Healesville. The founder’s son Nicholas passed away from an aggressive form of brain cancer at age 21 months, and in his sons memory the Nicholas Timms Foundation was created. This is a charity whose core purpose is to support kids with cancer and in turn the families who are affected. The Foundation intends to fund and build a retreat where families with children affected by cancer can visit free of charge and basically just relax away from the stresses of day to day life.
Millar Merrigan have assisted with Town Planning Advice, liaison with Council and submission of a Planning Scheme Amendment to the Department. We look forward to seeing this project come to fruition.
The site is currently under construction by a number of generous contractors and tradespeople as seen below.
