Development Levies in Bayside

Amendment C139 to the Bayside Planning Scheme proposes to introduce a Drainage Development Contributions Plan (DCP) which will require developers to pay a levy which would be utilised for contributing toward the cost of upgrading the municipal drainage network.

Developers will have to pay the following:

  • $2000 for each additional ground floor dwelling
  • $1000 for each additional flat or upper floor dwelling
  • $520 for each additional 100 square metres of commercial development
  • $2000 per 600 square metres of site area for new non-residential development on land zoned Residential

It is excpected that the levy come into effect late 2015 or early 2016. Refer to the Bayside City Council website for further details.
