Tyrolean Village, New South Wales
Millar Merrigan have overseen the complete re-development of this small village on Lake Jindabyne including the provision of a new water supply and sewerage reticulation system.
Urban Design
Rugged terrain and environmental significance of vegetation and adjacent lake presented constraints. Magnificent views of the lake and snowy mountains have provided a wonderful opportunity.
Project Management
- The town planning process for the completion of the Village has been continuing in conjunction with various State and Local Government authorities and has required the co-ordination of various consultants.
- Implementation of a new reticulated water supply including: high level tank and approximately 2km of water mains through very rugged terrain.
- Design and supervision of reticulated sewerage system including emergency storage, pumping station and rising main. This was particularly challenging given the environmental constraints of the adjacent lake (which also supplies drinking water).
