Project Summary
Millar Merrigan worked with the project Architect and project manager to develop a plan for a well designed but comparatively high density residential development for this site on the corner of Centre Road and Ormond Road , Clayton South.
Town Planning
Millar Merrigan successfully challenged the incorrect charging of additional fees by the Council in what has been touted as a case that gives greater clarity to the development industry and sets a useful precedent. More significantly for the developer the refusal of the application was overturned by VCAT and the development commenced in early 2006.
At the tribunal hearing Millar Merrigan successfully challenged the Council contention that the proposal was an over development of the site and not in keeping with neighbourhood character.
